Michelle's houses are constructed on solid pine. Cut, sanded and primed they begin to take on a life of their own through a layering process. These houses are built on a theme with a message inside of every door. The layers on the house take form from paint, Michelle's printed papers, found papers, oil pastels and glazes. Embellishments are added from Michelle's private collection of vintage items and found objects. Encaustic medium seals the piece for a dream like quality and added depth.
